Are you interested in robotics? We’ll take you from the basics of building and movement to advanced navigation, sensors, and teaching the robot how to make decisions for itself! LEGO provides a great system to easily build your robot then use the drag-and-drop coding software to give it commands. This is a great first step for anyone interested in competitive robotics.
Spring - grades 6-8 (6 weeks)

This LEGO Robotics class will take you from the basics of designing and building a robot all the way to learning advanced navigation techniques through the addition of sensory inputs and decision-making code structures. This program provides a great foundation in the fundamentals of robotics, while setting students up to join a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team if seeking a bigger challenge later on.
In this class, students will...
- Work collaboratively to solve engineering challenges and refine robot performance.
- Think creatively to invent solutions to FLL challenges.
- Develop programming skills to teach your robot to follow lines, pick up, grab, or deliver objects, and more.
- Design and construct robust LEGO robots using motors, gears, and structural elements.
