In this class, we will cover essential of sewing such as:
- How to operate a sewing machine
- Winding a bobbin and threading the machine
- Basic sewing machine maintenance and safety practices
Additionally, sewers will explore how to read and layout a simple pattern, as well as learn various basic stitches and their applications. As we advance, students will introduce new techniques, including the installation of zippers and elastic.
The first project will be a four-patch pillow, with the possibility of expanding projects based on time, interest, and skill level. Having good fine motor skills will help reduce any potential frustration.
