Sewing Club (Grades 3-5)
In this class, will cover essential of sewing such as:
- How to operate a sewing machine
- Winding a bobbin and threading the machine
- Basic sewing machine maintenance and safety practices
Sewers will explore how to read and layout a simple pattern, and learn various basic stitches and their applications. As the class advances, students will be introduced to new techniques, including the installation of zippers and elastic.
The first project will be a four-patch pillow, with the possibility of expanding projects based on time, interest, and skill level. Having good fine motor skills will help reduce any potential frustration. (6 weeks)
Dates: Tuesdays, September 22 - October 27
Beginner Class: It’s perfect for beginners with no prior crochet experience or for those who have dabbled in crochet but feel they need more guidance in getting to the next level. Having good fine motor skills will ease potential frustration.
Time: 3:30PM-4:30PM
Advanced Class: This class is for students who have completed the beginner class or for those who have more crochet experience.
Time: 4:30PM-5:30PM
