Basketball - Junior League (PreK-Grade 2)

Junior League Basketball is one of our most popular programs! This program is for boys and girls 4 years old by 12/1 through second grade. There are seperate boys and girls divisions and are seperated into three leagues for each gender. Rookie 4 years - Kindegarten, Grade 1 Veterans and Grade 2 Veterans. Each participant will recieve a game shirt. The focus will be on instruction and gameplay. Teams will practice for the first half and break out into small games for the second half of each week. Recreation staffed coaches will facilitate drills and skills for the practice times to provide quality development opportunities for our youth and coaches.
BOYS: Saturdays, December 5- March 6 (10 weeks)
(OFF 12/26, 1/2, 2/13, 2/20)
GIRLS: Saturdays, December 5- March 13 (10 weeks) (OFF 12/26, 1/2, 1/30, 2/13, 2/20)
Boys and Girls Ages 4yrs (by 12/1) - 2nd Grade
each week.
Please note that times may vary each week, however, all games/practices are on Saturdays. You cannot request a specific time. 10 weeks (First two weeks practice)

Fee: $150.00
Times/Locations are subject to change based upon registration numbers in both boys’/girls’ divisions.
Rookie Division
Ages 4 yrs old (by 12/1) thru K
The Rookie Division is for boys and girls that are 4yrs of age as of December 1st through Kindergarten.
Players rotate into the line-up every 4 minutes of the games.
Hoops are lowered to 8ft.
Mini and youth balls are used.
Coaches act as referees and are allowed to be on the court to help with positioning. Volunteers coach teams.
Time: Game times vary each week
Boys: 8AM, 9AM, or 10AM @ VO
Girls: 8AM or 9AM @ Lynch
Veteran Divisions
Grades 1st & 2nd
The Veteran Division is for boys and girls that are currently in 1st grade or 2nd grade
Players rotate into the line-up every 4 minutes of the game.
Hoops are lowered to 8ft.
Jr. size balls are used.
Coaches act as referees and are allowed to be on the court to help with positioning. Volunteers coach the teams.
Time: Game times vary each week
Boys: 11AM, 12PM, 1PM, or 2PM @ VO
Girls: 10AM or 11AM @ Lynch
