Join Winchester Recreation this Fall Season and play Softball at Ginn Field under the lights. Games will be umpired by patched umpires. Rules and Regulations for the season will be emailed to all designated coaches prior to the start of the season. USSSA rules will apply, 3 ball 2 strike count. When a batter has one strike a foul is an out. Our goal is to have 9-10 teams with teams playing 1 - 2 times per week. Total of 8/9 regular season games, that will be 7 innings in length, followed by a double elimination tournament for playoffs.

Date: Games begin the week of September 12th with game nights Tues, Wed, or Thursdays
Double elimination playoff tournament at the completion of the season, all teams make playoffs.
Game times: Tuesday, Wednesdays or Thursday 8:00pm or 9:00pm (Rotating schedule).
Location: Ginn Field, Winchester MA
League Fees: $500.00 per team to be paid to Winchester Recreation, prior to 9/9.
Umpire Fees: Each team is responsible for coming up with $40.00 each game to pay umpires, it is recommended that you include this fee when collecting payments from players. A minimum of 8-9 games will be played during regular season based on teams with all teams making the playoffs
(double elimination tournament).

Inclement weather – The Winchester Rec Department reserves the right to postpone or cancel a scheduled game for any reason. Team managers will be notified via email and/or text message if a game has been canceled or postponed as soon as possible prior to the game’s start time. Games will be rescheduled if possible.
